I learned of this whilst nightblogging this morning and meant to mention it. Comic, Robin Williams, underwent a three-hour heart surgery to repair his mitral valve, replace his aortic valve, and correct an irregular heartbeat. Doctors said his heart will have full function within the next two months.
Williams had canceled the rest of his Weapons of Self-Destruction tour after he began experiencing shortness of breath while onstage. A spokesperson said the tour will resume in the fall. A spokesperson for the hospital said the veteran comedian was entertaining the staff "a couple of hours after the surgery."
Robin Williams is 57.
