For almost a decade, what Stan Lee himself referred to as "rogue opportunists" from Stan Lee Media have been trying to wrangle the rights to Stan Lee's most popular creations from Marvel. However, a judge has dismissed their claim, noting they did not buy into Stan Lee Media until 1999, almost an entire year after Lee had transferred the rights to Marvel.
