Wizards of the Coast announced yesterday that a new version of Dungeons & Dragons is already underway, and that this version is going to be co-written by the fans. There was no further information on things like the OGL, specific rules, or any other details. We were only told that these things are under development and WotC was keeping them close to their vest for this reason.
WotC is opening-up the design process to a major playtesting, where players of all kind can write-in with their opinions and ideas. So, if you have ideas for the new edition, be sure to check out the Legend & Lore column on WotC's website, post them on your own blog or social networking profile, and share them with others.
What I would like to see in a new edition of D&D is backward compatibility with earlier editions.
