Watchmen Headed to HBO

Watchmen

Showrunner, David Lindelof (LOST, The Leftovers), is adapting DC's Watchmen to TV for HBO.  Long considered a magnum opus within the medium, Watchmen was created by Alan Moore and David Gibbons, and first published in 1986.  A 2009 movie adaptation did not fare well critically, nor at the box office.

The HBO mini-series was announced in 2015 with film director, Zack Snyder, attached.  Snyder is no longer working on the project, and no other names have been mentioned.

HBO's Watchmen looks to be a prestige mini-series of unspecified length.  Rob Salkowitz nailed the entire conversation regarding the adaptation in a detailed article for Forbes Magazine.
