Batman: The Dark Knight Tech Killed in Filming Mishap

A special effects stunt driver has been killed in a collision in conjunction with the filming of the new Batman: The Dark Knight movie.

According to reports, the stuntman was driving a vehicle, flanked by a camera truck, and one or the other hit a tree, killing the technician. Warner Bros. released a statement, offering their deepest condolences. While Surrey police are looking into the matter, all reports indicate this was nothing more than an accident; there is no evidence of negligence or wrongdoing on anyone's part.

The driving was taking place off-set and was apparently a test run. Batman: The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale and Heath Ledger and is set to hit theaters next summer.

It's really sad what happened to the technician. :'( hope his family will have a good financial compensation to help them.
