Quick Bits

I have dishes to wash and a few more things to do before I leave, but there were a few quick bits I wanted to get to before I go, since I'm not sure when I'll have another chance to post over the weekend. Not quite enough for one of our patented Rundowns, so we'll skip the formatting:

Busta Rhymes has been arrested again, this time for DUI. New York police pulled him over because his windows were too dark and the cop smelled alcohol on his breath. This makes the third or fourth time Busta has run afoul of the police since one of his entourage members was shot and killed in full-view of quite a number of people, all of whom claimed to have seen nothing and to not know how the shooter was. The man who was killed was one of Geoffrey Canada's students as a child.

Paris Hilton faces charges today in court which could result in her spending up to 45 days in jail. Further, prosecutors are supposedly asking she wear one of those alcohol leg bands that alerts police as to when she's taken a drink, for at least 90 days. Things aren't so bad for Hilton, who will be able to come and go from jail as she pleases by simply walking through the space between the bars. Likewise, she is expected to wear the "SCRAM" gadget as a belt and affect a new trend in style and fashion.

Former talk show hostess, Ricki lake, appears nude, giving birth to her baby in her bathtub in a new documentary she produced on childbirth. The talk show hostess said she was so embarrassed by the footage that she refused to watch it for over a year after it was taken, but felt it was important to the documentary. The nudity is not sexual in nature, the scene comprises only a small portion of the picture, and Lake is very proud of the documentary as a whole.

Almost forgot, according to sources, Spider-Man 3 raked-in an estimated $29 some-odd million on opening day (abroad). The movie opens to wide American theatrical release today.
