Quick update:
Lindsay Lohan was chasing the mother of one of her former assistants or something. The mother made it into the police parking lot and called them from there. Lindsay was hauled in and did take a Breathalizer which put her BAC between 1.2 and 1.3; .08 is the legal limit in California (and most of the US). When arrested, she had cocaine in her pocket.
Sources from the National Enquirer report that Lindsay was doing tequila shots at a July 4th party (while still in “rehab”) and was seen drinking beer a few days ago. She does have a SCRAM bracelet on, which is supposed to monitor the wearer’s BAC, but it is not immediately checked, so the device did not necessarily fail, it just hadn’t been checked before she decided to chase down someone’s mama.
Her attorney released a statement about how addiction is a terrible disease (addiction is not a disease, it is a lifestyle choice) and how she is getting medical attention. He called this debacle a “relapse.” You don’t “relapse” after five days; you just took a break.
Her court date has been set at August 24th - the same day she is scheduled to face charges from May on which she was booked a few days back - and she will stand accused of DUI, driving on suspended license, and two felony counts of cocaine possession.
