Well, it hasn't been quite as busy as I thought it might be, even though I do have at least one more press release to get to you tonight. But it is going to be busy tonight or tomorrow, what with all the new premieres on NBC: there's Chuck, then of course the 2nd-season premiere of Heroes, and then a new series called Journeyman, about a guy who travels through time. Even though I've been complaining about the short summer TV series seasons, I'm glad I won't be missing any of my new favorite shows because I'll be tuned into NBC all night long tonight in order to bring you reviews of the entire primetime line-up.
I sincerely hope Heroes has found some kind of renewed vigor after its languishing first season. I mean, it was good - we all agree that it was good - but it could have been great and it just... it was good. It started out great and quickly fell into a rut, but it managed to work its way out of that, and then fell back into it. Just uneven all the way around for no real good reason; with all the characters and material there, Heroes stands to be one of the few TV shows where pretty much every episode is a winner, ala Supernatural.
Speaking of which, Smallville returns next Thursday and Supernatural's 3rd season kicks off October 4th (the week after). Now there's a killer line-up! Easily two of the best shows on TV, hands down.
At least one of the sponsors had issues getting out payments this weekend, and even though they came in today, it's still going to be a few days before the money gets into the bank, so I haven't been able to pay for my comics again this month. It's just been that way for the past 3-4 months - so much so that I'm almost getting used to it... which is really sad. Actually, this is usually the kick-off of the big season, what with Christmas and all the other holidays, and I've yet to see any real change... if anything, the offers seem to have kind of fallen-off in general. I know that's good according to some readers, but it sure isn't good for me; without sponsors, I can't afford comics and without comics, I have little to write about with Lindsay in rehab.
