Rundown

Still recovering here, but I have been collecting links and stories throughout the past week to bring to you when I can actually type without having to spend the rest of the night crying. Softly. To myself.

But I got a big enough list to bring you one of our signature Rundowns, so I figured I'd go ahead and get it out to you without further ado. Always remember, The Rundown contains small parts which make it inappropriate for pets and youngsters.
  • Transformers' Shia LeBeouf was embarrassed by a video that showed up on YouTube, in which he used a derogatory slur to refer to a friend who slapped him. The video was pulled from the site because it was so gay.
  • Jamie Kennedy joins the cast of Ghost Whisperer this upcoming season, replacing the departing Jay Mohr, who is leaving for his own CBS show, Project Gary. Kennedy's career was started by Wes Craven's Scream, which single-handedly revived not only the psycho-slasher genre of horror films, but horror movies in general.
  • Robot Chicken star and co-creator, Seth Green, will guest-star on an upcoming episode of NBC's My Name is Earl.
  • FOX canceled the tabloid-inspired Courtney Cox vehicle, Dirt.
  • Meet the Press' Tim Russert died suddenly of a heart attack Friday, June 13th, while preparing for a show. He was 58.
  • R. Kelly found not guilty in the lengthy, and much-publicized, child pornography case, at the center of which was a videotape of the rapper urinating on a female who was allegedly only 13 at the time the tape was made.
  • Kevin Spacey accepted a visiting professor job at Oxford.
  • Kanye West seriously disappointed fans and fellow artists at this weekend's Bonnaroo Festival, held in nearby Manchester, Tennessee. He was booed when he finally took the stage after several delays and the chant, "Kanye Sucks!" became a mantra which carried over into the next day.
  • Arrested Development alumnus, Jason Bateman, has signed a deal with FOX to develop sit-com projects through his F+A Produtions. Bateman co-stars with Will Smith in the upcoming superhero-based comedy, Hancock.
  • Judd Apatow stable-member and ubiquitous comedy star, Jonah Hill, left the Transformers 2 movie over the script. He has signed-on to write and produce a movie adaptation of FOX' 21 Jump Street.
And that there's the past week or so in a nutshell.

Kanye West left a rancorous rant on his bloggy-blog concerning the Bonaroo incident in which he over-emotes and calls the organizers "squid brains."

I would link to the actual post, but linking to what The Superficial said about it always makes for better reading.
