This one has been making the rounds for a few days now, but I waited until I got a little more confirmation before posting it:
According to the rumor-mill, director Christopher Nolan is not interested in making a third Batman. Christian Bale has said repeatedly that he would return, but only if Nolan does as well. This does not bode well for a third installment, which will certainly be made - with or without Bale and/or Nolan.
Again, this is still just gossip at this point, but there is enough of it to confirm the rumor. Nolan might be persuaded to return to the helm and Bale will likely be the Dark Knight in any future installments, but we will have to wait to see how the whole thing plays out.
