R. Crumb's Underground

Underground sequential artist and pop-culture icon, Robert Crumb, is exhibiting his works in his hometown Philadelphia through December 7th. Admission is free. For more information, call 215-898-7108.

Crumb began his career in the 1960s doing greeting cards. He moved to San Francisco during the Hippie Era and began drawing underground comics. Soon, he was tapped to do album cover art for such acts as Janis Joplin.

Widely considered one of the greatest sequential artists, Crumb has been the subject of numerous biographies, including a 1994 documentary (Crumb).
