Actor Warren Beatty is suing a unit of Tribune Co. over the rights to Dick Tracy. Apparently, Beatty's secured rights included a provision requiring him to produce a second Dick Tracy movie, TV show, or special or the rights would revert to the company. Beatty sent the company a letter in November of 2006, securing an additional two years and started a new Dick Tracy special this month, but the company asserted its rights to terminate the agreement.
Beatty starred as Dick Tracy in the 1990 film of teh same name.
