February 2009 will bring the end of three long-standing Batman-related titles: Birds of Prey, Nightwing, and Robin. None of the titles sold more than 50,000 units a month, but the Batman universe (and what passes for "continuity" in DC Comics) is also being "realigned," according to editor-in-chief, Dan DiDio.
March sees the beginning of yet another major DC Multiverse event, spinning out of the last major DC Multiverse event (Final Crisis), which spun out of the many other Crises mega-events and was preceded by the major Multiverse event, Countdown to Final Crisis. This one is called Battle for the Cowl and will feature "nearly every member of the Batman family."
