Charlie Sheen's Colorado Christmas... in Jail

Charlie Sheen spent several hours in jail yesterday after authorities responded to a 911 call from an Aspen home at which the Two and a Half Men star and his third wife were staying. Police arrested Sheen on three charges, including second-degree assault and menacing, and misdemeanor criminal mischief. Though it was originally reported that Sheen would be held until trial, he was released when he posted $8500 bond.

Charlie Sheen has been married three times and has faced allegations of domestic violence in all three marriages. In the 1990s, Sheen ran afoul of the law numerous times for drugs, prostitution, and assault.

Police confirmed a "weapon of some sort" was involved in the incident, though refuse to say more. They also have not released the identity of the victim.

Sheen must return to court on February 6th.

Charlie Sheen and wife, Brooke Mueller, have separated, but are not necessarily headed for divorce, according to an unnamed source. It also said that Sheen had gone "back to his old ways" (drug/alcohol binges, partying with loose wimmins, etc.), but others say he is still in rehab.

Sheen was recently photographed in a fake mustache while out and about. The rumor-mill insisted it was a disguise to avoid being caught cheating on Mueller.

The police officer who arrested Sheen on Christmas for the alleged attack was dismissed from her job for a "series" of indiscretions. It then came to light that she had been accused of a series of crimes in Florida some years earlier, and was the alleged victim of domestic abuse herself, at the hands of an ex-husband with whom she fought a bitter custody battle for years.

If I were Charlie Sheen, or Brooke Mueller, I'd drink too!

Sheen will plead guilty to a misdemeanor in relation to the matter, and will spend 30 days in jail. With good behavior, he may only be in there for about two weeks.
