I had to dig-up the floorboards to get the cat out of the house. It took about 11/2 hours, three shovels, and two hammers (and two cups of coffee and one cigarette... and an onion, and some string). She's fine.
I guess that teaches me to be more specific with my prepositions when praying ("...around the house")... although, technically speaking, that could have been even messier.
