Checker Book Publishing Group to Relaunch Superhero 2044

Checker Book Publishing Group has acquired the publishing rights to the 1977 Gamescience role-playing game, Superhero 2044.  CBPG operated from 2001 to 2013, with a brief hiatus following a slew of personal tragedies.  It launched high-profile licensed titles including The X-Files, Flash Gordon, and content from famed dark fantasy and horror author, Clive Barker.

Superhero 2044 appeared in 1977, shortly after the publication of Dungeons & Dragons and RuneQuest set-off a national, and later worldwide, role-playing game craze.  CBPG also plans a trading card game to accompany the RPG.

Check Book Publishing Group plans a Kickstarter campaign to crowdsource the funds for publishing the new Superhero 2044 products and the relaunch of the company.
