Just to allay anyone's fears - or hopes (haters!) - no, I have not "burned-out." This has just been One of Those Weeks.
Technically, I am still recovering from the surgery, but doing very well. The real issue(s) has been the first of the month (bill time, grocery time, etc.) and the heat. My utility bill for June was more than double my usual one - which I expected - and I have been having some problems here and there collecting money, so I have been trying some creative things to save money and also make more. But the heat has been so humid and clinging that it just drains the strength and energy right out of you!
Over the holiday weekend, I am going to be changing some key elements across The Rundown and probably the rest of the site. As always, I make more of these posts when I do this because - as some of the regular readers can attest - things... don't, um... always work. Immediately. Further, I am frequently the last one to know this. I like to give everyone a lot of heads-up while this is going on, just in case.
Also this month and the next, the site will be undergoing a lot of technical stuff, so there may be some issues connecting and finding everything, etc., there as well.
The Burn Notice marathon started early this morning and I was unfortunately awake at that time. Aside from the few I missed when I had to run some errands, I've watched every, last one of them - and they are just as good the second time around! It takes a break for one of those freaking Law & Order episodes, then coverage of the US Olympics Trials, and resumes at midnight. If, for any reason, you have not seen this fantastic show, tune-in and get started now! New episodes start next Thursday.
I have remained working behind the scenes, specifically on tags and editing older posts. If you wonder why we seem to be easy to find in the engines one month and not the next, excepting the Google Smackdown, this is why; when you change content, the engines sometimes knock it out of standing and it takes a bit of time to regain ground. But the edits I do are usually to remove dead links; correct grammar, typos, etc.; and similar, niggling things that (for me) make all the difference.
So, like I always say, just because you don't see anything new doesn't mean I'm not working. And maintenance often takes longer than just babbling.
