A&E filmed a pilot called Saints & Sinners a few months back, focusing on a Christian-based biker gang and their work at a halfway house. But yesterday, SWAT teams rounded-up several members of the biker gang under suspicion of involvement in a July 27th double-stabbing.
The event occurred in a Newport Beach bar fight between members of the show's Set Free Soldiers and (who else) the Hell's Angels. While A&E spokespeople noted they do not believe any of those arrested appeared in, or are directly involved with, the Saints & Sinners reality show, it does not appear the channel will proceed with the project.
Saints & Sinners centers around the Set Free Soldiers' work at a halfway house, where they attempt to reform alcoholics and drug addicts. The Hell's Angels are probably most famous for their violent brutalization of Rolling Stones fans at the free Altamont concert, where they murdered a man.
HBO also had a biker gang-related show in the works, which Hell's Angels members completely fouled-up.
