Shelley Malil, who had a bit part in the Steve Carrell vehicle, 40 Year Old Virgin, was arrested and jailed for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend some 20+ times after finding her with another man. The man was also stabbed when he tried to intervene.
Malil has had several bit parts in national commercials and movies. According to reports, he discovered his girlfriend and the other man in her backyard Sunday afternoon. He stabbed her at least 20 times in the face and back. When the man with whom she was discovered attempted to stop the attack, he suffered a stab wound to the hand.
Malil was arrested earlier today.

Shelley Malil has since been charged with burglary and assault with a deadly weapon for attacking the woman's male friend.
Remarkably, the woman is expected to recover!
